Police, paramedics, firefighters and National Highways officers attended the scene
Emergency services, including Lancashire Police, paramedics, firefighters and officers from National Highways, were called to the scene shortly after midnight today . The southbound carriageway was closed for more than four hours between J35 for Carnforth and J34 for Lancaster as they dealt with the incident.
National Highways North west initially posted on X saying: "The #M6 in #Lancashire is closed southbound between J35 #Carnforth and J34 #Lancaster due to a serious collision. @LancsRoadPolice are on scene."In a statement, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three fire engines from Morecambe, Carnforth and Bolton-le-Sands attended a road traffic collision on M6 Southbound, Junction 35 to Junction 34.
