A traditional Indian wedding would usually consist of a sangeet , haldi , pheras , mehndi and bidaai .it explored the theme of love and commitment At the sangeet our friends and family took turns performing rehearsed routines. I wondered how the more traditional members of my family would react to my friends, but I need not have worried. When my friend Chris performed a routine to Lady Gaga in a dress, he became the most popular person there.I left the dress code open and was happy to see so many of my Western friends embracing Indian clothing and traditions.
