Now that its initial run has concluded, Yellowjackets officially had the most-watched first season for a series on Showtime since Billions in 2016.
Following the cliff-hanger season finale of Yellowjackets, the series broke the record of being the most-watched first season of a series on Showtime in 6 years. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is a psychological horror and coming-of-age survival drama set between 1996 and 2021. The latest Showtime series features a stellar cast, starring Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Christina Ricci, and many more.
Now, according to Deadline, the finale for Yellowjackets amassed over 1.3 million viewers on Sunday. While doubling its premiere viewership, the series has simultaneously become the second most-streamed series on the television network, following its predecessor, Dexter: New Blood.
