A bar manager has spoken out after a body, which is yet to be formally identified, was found in the search for Dr Michael Mosley after her went missing on Wednesday afternoon
A bar manager who was one of the first people to see a body discovered in the search for TV doctor Michael Mosley has broken their silence.
According to staff at the bar, helicopters had searched the area “every day”. Agia Marina bar manager Ilias Tsavaris, 38, first saw the body alongside journalists. He says that the island’s mayor “saw something” by the fence of the bar and made staff aware. He continued: “So when I walked up I saw something like a body to make sure. You don’t see a dead body every day, it is not a warzone, it’s summer you are supposed to have fun and swimming.
The news comes after Greek authorities shifted their focus to a mountainous area after CCTV footage from a house emerged which appeared to show the presenter walking towards a mountainous path at about 2pm local time on Wednesday.
