WX Charts has turned blue across the country, indicating that temperatures are set to plunge
The Met Office has weighed in on the possibility of a 603-mile snow blast hitting parts of the UK, following WX Charts predictions that showed the country turning blue with plummeting temperatures from Cornwall and Devon to northern Scotland. The charts suggested crippling conditions accompanied by a vast stretch of ice as Britain abruptly transitions into winter.
They added: "That dusting of snow over the Scottish mountains will be part of a weather front that will bring some persistent rain to parts of western Scotland tonight and tomorrow, with a widely wet day for much of Scotland on Saturday.
Looking further ahead, from Wednesday to Friday, the outlook is "Unsettled on Wednesday with some heavy rain at times. Winds slowly easing. Drier and brighter on Thursday. Turning wet and windy from the west on Friday. Milder than of late." They add, "However, temperatures could remain slightly above average, especially further south and south-east."
