British Transport Police officers were called to the tracks near Blairhill station at around 8.10am on Tuesday, November 12. Police and ambulance crews attended however, sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
